FAQ – Custom T-Shirt Blanket & Quilts
What is your turnaround time for a machine quilting project?
Our turnaround time for custom t-shirt blankets and quilts is 6 to 8 weeks, unless otherwise stated.
Shouldn't I just cut the graphic image from the t-shirt before sending to you?
No, please do not do that. In order to maintain the shape of the graphic image, each square requires a stablizer to be added to the 15 x 15-inch square before cutting. This ensures that the square will not skew during sewing.
Will you send any unused t-shirts back to me?
Yes, we will return any unused whole t-shirts back to you. However, we will not return any t-shirts that were used for your order unless othewise requested.
Can you use both the front and the back of a t-shirt?
Yes, you can choose to use both image from the front and back of a t-shirt. We ask that when you send a shirt that has two sides you wish to use, please pin a post-it note to that shirt, indicating you want us to use images on both sides. Any shirts sent without a pinned post-it note, we will only use the graphic image on the front of the shirt.
What type of fabric do you use for the back of the blanket or quilt?
All of our blankets and quilts are backed with a soft cozy fleece.
Are all your blankets and quilts made to be machine-washable?
Yes, all of our blankets and quilts are machine-washable. Please wash them on delecate setting in cold water. When drying, use the delecate low heat setting. You can also line dry them.
What if I don't have enough t-shirts for the quilt size I want?
Remember you can always use both the front and the back of your t-shirt to get the number you want.
Will any dark color fabric used in my quilt bleed during the wash?
All sashing and border fabrics for your order are pre-washed to ensure that they do not bleed when you wash the quilt yourself. However, when you wash your blankeet/quilt for the first time, we highly recommend that you use 3 or 4 “color catcher” sheets in the wash. These little gems will catch any and all bleeds that might come off the fabric.
